Life Is Like A Cup of Coffee

Greetings Leaders!

It’s early Sunday morning and I’m sitting in a Starbucks getting ready to go touch the lives of a couple hundred kids at church. At least that’s the goal anyway. Before I teach anything, even my project management or leadership classes, I try to go somewhere for a bit and prepare myself mentally. Today, I ran across this video called Life Is Like a Cup of Coffee. It made me think… what do we ALL want?

Can You REALLY Change?

Greetings Leaders!

I often ask myself several questions, “Can I really change?”, “Can I help someone else change?”, and “Can someone really change if they want to?” If you’re asking yourself the same things the answer is yes. So take heart, because there is hope. How do I know the answer is yes? Because others have changed. If just one person can change, then hypothetically, anyone can change. This would include both you and I. The real question becomes, HOW can we bring about change?

Greetings Leaders!

There is a pretty interesting article at CIO Insight about Reinventing the PMO (read the article here). The general premise is that PMOs are good at delivering projects, but not so good at ensuring the project/product is actually what the business needs. Their recommendation – a Results Management Office (RMO). My response…. you’ve got to be kidding. This is insanity at best.

Greetings Leaders…

I’m sitting here thinking about life. Sometimes it can be rough. There are so many obstacles that get in the way of our dreams, inspirations and happiness. A friend told me yesterday that we come into the world bloody, crying, cold and naked… and life just gets worse after that. We both laughed. While he was trying to be funny, I thought, how sad that some people really go through life thinking like that. I even reminded myself… that it doesn’t have to be that way.
